We woke up in our bungalow over the water to a beautiful sunrise on the lagoon.

 
We walked down the pontoon towards the beach for breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

And back up the pontoon for a busy day of relaxation at the bungalow.

Then we went across the street from the hotel to Matira beach (it's a tiny peninsula, with Matira Beach on one side and the hotel lagoon on the other). Of course the waters are clear and beautiful, and the sand is white and soft. We did some snorkeling and swimming, which hasn't gotten old yet.

Then we came back to the hotel and launched off the bungalow, snorkeling together around the coral and making our way to the beach.

There were lots of cornetfish/flutemouth fish.

In the afternoon we got in the car to explore the island and grab lunch (and more gelato). A view from the eastern side of the island:

After circumnavigating the island we spend the afternoon relaxing, reading, and swimming.

As the sun was getting low, 

we walked from the bungalow to Matira beach across the way, to watch the sunset together.

...before walking back to the bungalow and heading out for dinner.

Throughout the day, it was fun to see how the shifting light changed the hues of brilliant blue reflecting from the lagoon's water.
